FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

What is Body?

Body is a wellness and performance membership built around repeatable measurement over time. Our first New York studio opens in Hudson Square at 250 Hudson Street.

What happens during a visit?

Members move through one coordinated baseline visit across biomarkers, imaging, body composition, strength, movement, and cardiorespiratory fitness.

What does Body measure?

At launch, Body's core modalities include blood pressure, blood biomarkers, retinal imaging, body composition, skin mapping, movement analysis, grip strength, and VO₂ max plus metabolic testing.

How often should I come?

Repeat diagnostics follow the recommended cadence for each modality. Membership includes ongoing studio access, subject to appointment availability, capacity, safety requirements, and modality-specific timing.

Is Body medical care?

No. Body is a wellness and performance membership, not a medical practice. Body does not provide medical care, medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or medical opinions. Information made available through Body is for informational and wellness purposes and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed healthcare professional.

Who orders labs or imaging?

Certain services may be ordered, reviewed, processed, or provided by independent third-party clinicians, physician networks, laboratories, imaging providers, or other healthcare entities. Those third parties are independent from Body and may be subject to their own professional, legal, privacy, and regulatory obligations.

What happens if something looks abnormal?

Some results may be subject to review, notification, or follow-up by independent laboratories, ordering clinicians, or physician networks. Body may help route or present information, but clinical interpretation and follow-up are handled according to the policies and obligations of the applicable third-party provider.

Can Body replace my doctor?

No. You are responsible for sharing results or concerns with your own healthcare provider and for seeking appropriate medical follow-up. Body may provide general wellness-oriented information or suggest that you consider follow-up with a qualified healthcare professional, but Body does not replace your physician or other healthcare providers.

How does Body use AI?

Body may use software, automation, and artificial intelligence to organize, summarize, or present information. These tools do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or medical opinions. Any generated insight should be reviewed with a qualified healthcare professional before being used for medical decisions.

Does HIPAA apply?

Some information may be protected health information when handled by a HIPAA covered entity or business associate. Other information may be health-related but not subject to HIPAA. Where HIPAA applies, Body handles information according to applicable obligations and agreements.

Is Body SOC 2 certified?

We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. Body does not currently make a public SOC 2 certification claim.

How much does membership cost?

Founding membership is $499 per year for Body's inaugural Hudson Square cohort. Requesting access does not guarantee membership availability or final pricing until confirmed in writing.
